When we first moved to Oakland, the first thing I had to do was put together my new medical team. Though we had only moved about 60 miles away, I did not feel like traveling over an hour each way to see my doctors. One of the first members I wanted to find was an oakland chiropractor because I needed regular adjustments done on my back. I have had back issues since I was a child, and I even wore a brace for nearly a year because of it. As I got older, I started taking a lot of pain pills just to get through the day.
When my doctor told me that my liver was starting to show the effects of taking so many narcotics, I knew that I had to either find another way to manage the pain or just suffer. I didn’t want to further damage my liver, so I took his suggestion about finding a chiropractor. That was the best advice I had ever been given, and I am honestly surprised that none of my other doctors had suggested this to me in the past.
When I went to my first appointment, I wasn’t sure what to expect. When I walked out of there feeling better than I had in days though, I knew that I was going to continue to go. That is why I wanted to find a chiropractor in Oakland before I did anything else. Since I have started seeing a chiropractor, I only have to take pain pills when the pain is unbearable, which is not that often. My doctor was happy with how much I reduced taking the narcotics, and I give all the credit to the chiropractor. I was able to find a respected one in Oakland, and it was easy to assemble the rest of my medical team after that.
